Whatz with Kick’s these dayz?

Ok so I’m surfing the web and I come across this pair of Reebok kicks, called Zig Maze, and the first thing that comes to mind is…

"God they would be a b!tch to clean if some drunk at the bar puked on them…Yet they could work as a good lint brush.”

So there’s something about these shoes that I love, and defiantly something about them that I hate. So after some further reading I hit the comments section.

Here are a couple;

“They would make a great lint brush for anyone who has pets, and you could keep your shoes on the furniture.”

“They would be great for hunting, the moose would stare at them get confused and fall down.”

LMFAO! people are thinking the same thing as me!

So then I start thinking, why is it that company’s such as Nike, and Adidas have such a great reputation with their classic/vintage designs.

Yet companies like Reebok and let’s say Fila or Sketchers are constantly trying to set the next trend with some freaky design or gimmick shoe. (No wonder why they got sued over the Reetone design & Roller Shoe)

Now don’t get me wrong this is just my opinion, But as your about to see they will try to squish almost anything on to your foot.

Like WTF is this…

And people love this sh!t.

And don’t get me started on woman’s footwear, if you can even call it that?…

Now if you look back over the years, men’s shoes haven’t changed that much, you can still grab a fresh new pair of Chuck’s, or some Shell Top’s, or LUGZ, and who can forget Jordan’s. You know what you’re getting with these brands, and when you lace them up they feel just like they did in the 80’s.

And that’s why they remain the strong and superior leaders in their markets.

Where companies like Reebok spend more time creating art.

Then a practical, stylish, well designed pair of kicks that feel as good as they look.

Designers will throw anything your way, and we all know the hype a limited pair of Nike’s can bring! You can now grab a pair of Back to the Future Nike’s ……however the locking laces haven’t been perfected yet, but there working on it, and there also working on the hover board to go with them……so I hear ;^)

And speaking of movies they’ve slapped designs from Hello Kitty, SpongeBob, Batman, Superman and more.

And I’m not talking about shoes you find at your local Antichrist, (WALMART) no I’m talking names like; Nike, DC, Converse, and more, all going after every and any trend they can slap a design on.

And yes poor Reebok is trying to stay in the game with their glow in the dark kicks, Space Boots/Shoes etc… However if they learned anything from their biggest competition, it’s that old saying K.I.S.S. Keep it Simple Stupid, and simple sells.

What it all boils down to, is remembering that when grabbing your next pair of kicks, remember to get the right shoe for whatever it is you’re doing, the right size, and comfort over style.

Oh and maybe think how hard would these be to clean, if some drunk pukes on them at the bar ;^)

Trust me I’ve broken and shattered my heal I know what I’m talking about! & yes was puked on once! LOL

If a pair of kicks look good enough to put on a shelf, that’s probably where they belong!

Oh and by the way for god sakes people, throw away your dam crocks already!
